Metal casting allows for the creation of components such as cast iron flanges and valves with exceptional dimensional tolerances. A DN that deviates even a millimeter from the original design can generate losses from leaks, unwanted pressure drops, and accelerated wear of the entire system.

Practical Case: Rehabilitation of a Traditional System
A client with a furrow irrigation system over 20 years old faced constant losses and irregular pressure. Standard valve replacement did not solve the problem, as the threads and flanges had suffered differential wear.
The solution was to custom cast a complete set of transition connections, taking on-site measurements of critical points. The new pieces, with a DN calculated to compensate for existing wear, restored the original designed tightness and flow, without the need to replace kilometers of main pipe.
